Our mission is to level the playing field for unemployed people, helping them to realise their potential and get back into work. Thanks to an awesome donation from National Express, we are developing a new arm of our charity to take us on road – The Suited for Success Bus!
Our goal is to reach and support more unemployed people living in and around the Birmingham areas of the West Midlands that has some of the highest levels of unemployment in the country, helping them to access our support to get back into the world of work.

We often hear the term ‘hard-to-reach communities’. Our new Suited for Success Bus will see us working harder than ever to reach as many unemployed people across Birmingham as we can. Read more about the incredible bus donation from National Express West Midlands.

Our mission – to positively impact unemployment
Still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK is now doubly hit by an unemployment crisis and a cost of living crisis. We’re seeing the price of food, energy and fuel sky-rocketing with the unemployed being hit the hardest of all. Our mission is to help level the playing field and get as many unemployed people as we can to realise their potential and regain employment.
The bigger picture
Suited for Success is based in central Birmingham in the West Midlands. We support unemployed people back into work through the FREE provision of one-to-one interview coaching, employment preparation. We also offer FREE interview and work clothing to ensure that these people make the best possible first impression in a job interview and the first few weeks in a new job – when it really matters.
Birmingham current has a 12.4% unemployment rate which is the highest among the UK’s core cities and well above the UK average of 5.2%. Several areas across the city are experiencing some of the highest levels of unemployment in the country with the highest concentration in Birmingham’s inner-city areas – where Suited for Success is located.

Employment changes lives
We help people to unlock their potential and make that first move back into employment. Our coaching and FREE interview and work clothing support gives people the tools they need to begin their employment journey. So when they're ready to take that first step into the interview room, or a new workplace, they're equipped with the skills to impress, look and feel the part and be ready to step into the rest of their life.
