Ready to impress
Suited for Success facilitated a workshop on Wednesday 20th April on how to 'dress for success' for Uprising Birmingham as part of their employability programme called Fastlaners working with 18 -25 year olds. After the workshop a few of the young people were provided with interview clothing. It was great to see the transformation.
About UpRising
UpRising is a national leadership programme for young people between the ages of 18-25 years old giving them ‘access behind the scenes’ sessions with some of the UK’s most senior leaders. The core programme offers participants a unique first-hand view of the way that political, business, public sector and community organisations work together to shape our communities. Each participant is individually matched with a coach and a mentor who supports them on a one to one basis throughout their time on the programme.
Minesha was one of the young people who received a smart interview outfit she said: "This is a amazing thank you so much for your help it means so much".
A BIG thank you
We received a lovely thank thank you letter from project manager Louise Belsom also inviting Suited for Success to support the programme again in the autumn: "Thank you for delivering the workshop and providing participants with suits. Those with new suits wore them to their mock interviews and assessment centre. Junior wore his with a variety of shirts every day in week two!"
