Suited for Success has teamed up with Francesco Group Birmingham Academy so we can offer FREE haircuts and styling appointments to our clients.
When someone has been out of work for a while, grooming is usually one of the first things to go. Being well groomed and appropriately dressed is critical for job hunters.
Many unemployed men and women don't have the funds to buy interview clothes or haircuts to prepare them for a job interview. Not being properly groomed can make or break someone's chances at getting that crucial job offer. A haircut is not only about confidence or a feel good factor, if someone is looking their best and feeling their best they are more likely to give their best.
Free haircuts
Now teaming up with the Francesco Group Hair Academy in Birmingham City Centre and through the generous financial donations from our supporters, Suited for Success can now offer FREE haircuts and styling to our clients. All Haircuts and (non-technical) styling appointments are offered at a 50% discount to Suited for Success, by the Francesco Group Birmingham salon as part of their partnership with us. There is no cost to the client, Suited for Success will meet the 50% charge to go the extra mile in supporting our clients.
Clients who are offered hair appointments as additional support will be at the discretion of the Suited for Success Manager, Patricia White says: "Due to funding we are unable to offer hairdressing appointments to all of our clients. However sometimes there are clients who we can physically see that their personal appearance and grooming is a barrier to them getting a job.
"There may also be long-term unemployed clients or clients that have been through difficult circumstances and challenges in life who have now decided to turn their life around and get into employment; a new haircut will give them that extra little boost of confidence. We're so excited about this new partnership with Francesco Group, Birmingham Academy."
When attending their appointment at the City Centre salon our clients will be given a full hairdressing experience like any other customer and will be taken care of by one the qualified stylists.
Award winning
Francesco Group is one of the largest, award winning hairdressing companies in the UK with 38 salons specialising in hair-cuts and styles, colours and highlights, wave and curl. The Birmingham academy is also one of their several salons that has highly trained Afro-Caribbean hairdressing specialists. This is ideal for Suited for Success due to the wide array of clients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds we support. The salon academy also runs a apprenticeship placement scheme and technical hair courses.

Donate a haircut
Suited for Success would not be able to offer FREE haircuts and styling to our clients without the generous donations from our supporters. A male haircut costs just £8 and a female haircut and finish costs just £12.50. You could help clients look their very best for a job interview by donating the cost of a haircut.
