The Colmore Building in Birmingham's City Centre business district are hosting its second suit donation drive for Suited for Success between 16th April - 4th May 2018.
Professional men and women working in the prestigious 14-storey office building and surrounding offices, businesses and firms across the Colmore Business District area are being encouraged to drop off any unwanted new and gently worn good quality suits, trousers, shirts, shoes, skirts, blouses, dresses, accessories and more in the two-week long donation drive to help support Birmingham's unemployed men and women into employment.
Donation drop-off point
The drop-off point will be located in the ground floor reception area of The Colmore Building. All the suits and smart clothing donated will be given FREE OF CHARGE to unemployed men and women Birmingham going for a job interview but don't have a smart interview outfit and or the financial means to buy smart clothing.
Last April saw the very first Suited for Success suit drive arranged by The Colmore Building facilities team with over 330 items of suits, shoes, accessories and more donated. Facilities Manager Aimee Mullen-Pugh was over the moon with the response:
"We knew it was going to be a successful drive but we're so pleased how successful it has been. Donations just kept flooding into our reception where the drive was held. We really enjoyed it and really looking forward to doing the drive again."
First Impressions Count
The Suited for Success team are really grateful for the donations from professional men and women working in the Colmore Business District. "Looking the part for a interview gives people the confidence boost they need to make that positive first impression which could help secure a job and subsequently change their lives forever," says Suited for Success Managing Director Patricia White.
